About the client
Eagles Wings Disc Golf is a ministry that mentors and disciples youth, adults and families by creating opportunities to learn, play, and compete in the sport of disc golf. They seek opportunities to bless the existing disc golf community. They connect Christian disc golfers around the world, and provide training on how to use the sport of disc golf as a ministry avenue. They also help churches, ministries, and missionaries build courses and utilize them for ministry.
Pricing Brochure
This was one of the first projects I ever worked on with Eagles Wings. They wanted a brochure that they could use to show the cost of having them come in to design a course from start to finish for a church, camp, park, etc. They provided me with the images and wording and left the rest up to me! I started by looking at some of their previous designs and tried to match the feel that I got from their branding and aim it at their target audience. In the end, I was very happy with how this project turned out!
Family Night Event Flyer
This project was used to promote one of their upcoming events. They put the flyer up at local courses to encourage families to come out and learn how to play disc golf! I wanted to keep with the energetic and engaging look of the brand while drawing disc golfer’s with families attention to the flyer over the other ones hanging up at the course.
Newsletter
This project was the most recent one I worked on with them. They had a monthly newsletter that they wanted a template designed for. The name of the newsletter was “The Leatherman Loop” as it was specifically for Dustin and Hannah Leatherman. This project brought a few difficulties. The first was the margins around the outside so that it could be printed on their local church’s printer. This was hard because of the fact that I had to design with the outer white space in mind. The second thing was the amount of information that needed to go on here. It was difficult to create enough sections to hold all of the information without it looking congested and crowded.
