About the client
Third Wave Coffee is a coffee shop located in Forest, VA. Their goal as a shop is to provide high quality, specialty coffee to the local community. They aim to educate customers on what coffee can taste like when pushed to its limits and roasted with quality and taste in mind.
Logo Redesign
This project was one that I was extremely excited to work on. The shop opened with a more classic looking coffee shop logo but after redoing the interior design of the shop, they wanted to update their logo to match the new feel of the shop. I wanted to keep some of the feel from their original logo while updating the feel to be much more modern. I decided to isolate some of the steam waves coming off the cup from the original logo. This left me with a solid base that I expanded upon to make the logo easier to use across all platforms and avenues.
Latte Art Competition Flyer
This flyer was created to promote an annual event that Third Wave puts on to allow local baristas to compete and entertain a packed house. This event has proved to be very popular over the past few years and I am always excited to help promote an event that I truly enjoy attending.
Two Year Anniversary
To celebrate their second anniversary, the shop hosted a big event and needed promotional materials and giveaway items. They decided to have a retro theme for the event which led to these bright colors, font choice, and color combinations. The stickers and magnets were wildly popular and the cards were used to promote the event in the weeks prior and played a part in the big turnout and success of the event.
